ReinforcedSoil Slopes

Reinforced soil slopes are earth retaining structures that incorporate layers of geosynthetic reinforcement, typically geogrids, to improve the stability of steep slopes. These layers interact with the compacted soil to form a composite mass with enhanced mechanical properties. This allows reinforced soil slopes to be constructed at steeper inclinations than would be possible with unreinforced soil alone.
